I approached Marc a few months before my wedding to see if he could help with an idea I had to surprise my wife and our guests at our wedding. I’d seen Marc’s work in a newspaper piece a year or so ago and always kept it in mind. We developed a logo for our wedding which featured throughout the day – on flags, invitations, orders of service in church, lapel badges. I contacted Marc about potentially using this logo for a beach image which I could then show during our wedding weekend. Marc was in touch very quickly after I contacted him and was so positive about our concept. He just ‘got it’ straight away. Marc produced the logo for us in stunning detail on a beautiful beach in Cornwall whilst he was on holiday!! Nothing was too much trouble. From the initial concept sketch, discussions via phone and email – he was keen to help me at every stage. The film itself was unbelievable – filmed via a drone from above, set to the music I chose, it was simply stunning. My wife, family and guests just couldn’t believe how amazing it was. It was such an important part of our day.

Marriage proposal on the sands of Druidstone Haven on March 25th 2016
A commission for The National Trust carried out in early March 2015 at Whiteford Burrows, Gower, Wales
On 7th September we created a beautiful sand circle to celebrate the YHA open day at Poppit Sands, Ceredigion, Wales. Lots of lovely folk came to lend a hand and thanks to Stewart Towe the manager of the Poppit Sands Youth Hostel for arranging it. The hostel itself is situated high above the beach with stunning views across the sands and Cardigan Bay. It is recently refurbished and is a cracking place to stay!

On Saturday 15th March I helped create a couple of beautiful designs either side of the dunes on Barmouth beach in North Wales. It was a day of celebration for a young man's 18th birthday. The sun shone all day and we created designs with eighteen as their theme.
Everyone got involved and much happiness prevailed.

This was a delightful opportunity to create a sand design to enhance this marriage proposal.
I arrived in Tenby before dawn on 28th December 2013 and it was a perfectly still and clear morning.
The sand was mirror smooth and no one was around.
A magical time to be on the beach.
After a couple of hours the design was complete, the sun had risen and the answer was 'yes'!
